• Total capacity: 10 MVA
• Main power supply through two independent 22-kV lines, connected to the national grid; four standby diesel generators of 1,000-HP each; nobreak system for oper-ating theatres and other equipment
• Power distribution via 3.3-kV underground cables to six substations and to low-tension 400/230-V grid
Telecommunications and Electronics
• Automatic 1,000-line telephone exchange
• Intercom system
• Paging system
• Nurse-calling system
• Master clock
• Fire and smoke detection devices and alarm system
• Individual patient radio earphones
• Mainframe computer for medical and administration purposes, with access terminals in the various departments
Water and Sewerage
• Connection to the national water supply system
• Independent wells for emergency water supply
• Water distribution network

• Deionized and distilled water production and distribution facilities
• Central supply facilities and distribution network
for oxygen, compressed air, vacuum, anaesthetic gas and carbon dioxide
